Among the most talked about ancient sites in recent times is the megalithic site of Gobekli Tepe in Turkey. Buried on purpose some 12,000 years ago and just recently excavated, it is a must see on our September 2019 tour. Some estimates are that it is 30 times the size of what has been revealed so far.
