Sr. Juan Navarro Museum & Julio C. Tello Museum

TOUR PRICING:

This 4-5 hour tour is priced at $125 USD for one person, $175 USD for 2 people, and $100 USD per person for groups of 3 or more.

The tour includes transport between the museums, entrance tickets, and guide service by Brien. Brien will meet you at the Sr. Juan Navarro Museum to begin the tour. Hotels and meals are extra, but we have excellent suggestions to match your budget and wishes.

First we visit the new Juan Navarro Museum in Paracas, which opened in August 2016 and has hundreds of pre-Colombian artifacts from the 5 different cultures that existed in the Paracas area before the Spanish arrival; Paracas, Nazca, Wari, Chincha and Inca.
All of the artifacts were collected by Sr. Juan Navarro over the course of decades, and were found within 10 miles of the museum itself. They cover a time line of over 2000 years.
The museum has become world famous due to the more than 40 Paracas culture Elongated Skulls that are on display. Photos and video are allowed, and some skulls can be taken out of their cases.
Then it is off to the new Julio C. Tello Museum in the Paracas Reserve, about 15 minutes’ drive from the Juan Navarro Museum.
This museum also opened in August of 2016, and has hundreds of Paracas culture artifacts, dating from 800 BC to 100 AD.
This 4-5 hour tour is priced at $250 USD for one person, $375 USD for 2 people, and $200 USD per person for groups of 3 or more.
